Pahadian Sports Foundation Girls Felicitated During 80th District-Level Independence Day Celebration in Rayagada

Rayagada, Odisha: 15 AUG 2026: A proud moment for Pahadian Sports Foundation as its two promising young athletes, Miss Mousumi Majhi and Miss Swapan Huika, were felicitated during the 80th District-Level Independence Day celebration held in Rayagada. During the event, Rayagada District Collector Shri Ashutosh Kulkarni, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, felicitated players from across Rayagada District in recognition of their sporting achievements and contribution to the district. Among the players felicitated during the ceremony were Mousumi Majhi and Swapan Huika from Pahadian Sports Foundation. Their recognition brought immense pride to the Foundation, their families and the entire Pahadian community. The felicitation celebrates the dedication, discipline and hard work of the two young athletes and serves as an encouragement for them to continue pursuing excellence in sports.

The achievement also reflects the dedicated guidance of Coach Mrs. Babula Melaka, an International Rugby Player and currently serving as the Secretary of Pahadian Sports Foundation, whose continued efforts and mentorship have been instrumental in encouraging and nurturing young sporting talent.
